The Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE) is looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active, highly organized and process oriented Secretary of the Education Institute. It might be you?

Job description

As Secretary of the Education Institute (EdIn), you will proactively support, organise and monitor the processes that result in high quality education programmes and up-to-date educational policy. EdIn is responsible for all aspects of the bachelor and master education, from development to execution of the education. The decisions of EdIn are in line with the mission and strategy of SBE, for which EdIn reports to the SBE Board.

You will prepare the weekly meetings of the EdIn Management Team together with the scientific director by setting the agenda and collecting documents, arranging and managing the scheduling of annually recurring agenda items, be responsible for making concise content-related minutes and monitoring action points and decision-making processes. Furthermore, coordinating the decision-making process with secretaries of several decision-making bodies within SBE and at central level of Maastricht University is an important part of your tasks. Finally, you will support the scientific director of EdIn in organizing meetings, collecting information and framing documents for the decision-making bodies of SBE.

Your home base will be the Policy Development and Quality Assurance Office, in which you will collaborate with enthusiastic other secretaries and policy advisors.

Requirements

Competencies: relevant higher professional or university degree and/or relevant experience in a similar role.

The secretary is proactive, a team player, flexible, able to multitask, with sense of administrative relations. She or he likes to take initiative, is both process- and result oriented, is characterized by accuracy, and oral and written communication in Dutch and English are excellent.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

We offer a one-year appointment for 0,80 fte in a warm and enthusiastic team; which might result in a permanent appointment. The rated UFO job profile is Secretary, job level 2. Remuneration will be according to standard salary levels, depending on education and relevant work experience. This implies a gross monthly salary in scale 9 of the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities (€ 2.979 - € 4.093 per month, based on a fulltime appointment). Each year, the standard salary is supplemented with a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
