We offer a permanent position (full-time or part-time), initially starting with a contract of 12 months to get to know each other. The gross salary - depending on previous qualifications and experience - ranges between €2,846 and €5,943 (scale 10 and 11/12 according to the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities) per month for a full-time employment. As an expat you will also get 30% off from government tax-rules for the first five years!
Salaries are supplemented with a holiday bonus of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% per year. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has a unique position in the Netherlands. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University is the only such institute in the Netherlands. It carries an excellent worldwide reputation for teaching, research and patient care. The Department of Clinical Sciences is part of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and includes a fully-equipped academic veterinary teaching hospital, the ‘Universitair Dierenziekenhuis Utrecht’. The university clinic boasts a large fully equipped companion animal hospital with six ORs, an ECVECC-run ICU and a medium care unit, with busy medical and various surgical services. Immediately neighboring the companion animal clinic, the university complex houses a busy equine hospital with more than 100 box stalls, an OR suite with four ORs, a 24/7 neonatal foal ICU (in season) and a 24/7 emergency referral clinic as well as an ambulatory equine service.
