Job description
Nyenrode Business Universiteit is looking for faculty candidates with teaching and research interests for the position of Assistant Professor Communication Skills.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a number of courses at different levels on various full-time and part-time degree programmes. These include:
- Academic reading and writing skills (BScBA, Full-time MSc, Modular MBA and PhD)
- Management communication skills (Executive MBA, Modular MBA and Part-time MSc)
Consistent with our emphasis on managerial relevance, the candidate will be encouraged to develop and update teaching materials in the light of international developments and emerging research.

Requirements
- The successful candidate should have a degree in English or other relevant subject and a Master’s.
- Candidates must have teaching experience.
- Candidates should also have experience in conducting research or be interested in conducting research.
- A native speaker of English is preferred.
- It is necessary to have credentials to teach at Dutch universities and to be BKO registered or willing to register within two years.
- Teamwork is highly valued at Nyenrode. Some courses are given by two teachers (sometimes at two different locations, i.e., Breukelen and Amsterdam), which requires cooperation, flexibility, and synergy.
- Candidates must be available from August, 2022.
Conditions of employment
Fixed-term contract: 1 year with a possibility for a permanent position.
Nyenrode Business Universiteit can be characterized by a combination of a high level of professionalism and an informal atmosphere.
Salary will depend on position and qualifications and will be between € 2.803,- and € 5.186,- (scale 10/11). Tax benefits may apply.
Initial appointment will be for 1 year with a possibility for a permanent position.
