Preparing students for their future roles as innovation drivers in organisations calls for pioneering educational initiatives. Which you will support as the Reflective Engineer Programme Assistant!

Job description

Taking the lead in the organisational and administrative aspects, you’ll be supporting your team of the Reflective Engineer programme, dedicated to designing and embedding groundbreaking educational methods. You and your team are committed to helping TU Delft’s students evolve by reflecting not just on their performance, but particularly on themselves as a person, including their behaviour and communication skills. To this end, we run multiple projects, designing methods such as the intervision game geared to peer coaching. Designing innovative and creative methods isn’t our main challenge though; embedding them structurally in educational practice is.

As our 18 months’ programme is still in its start-up phase, pioneering doesn’t just define our work, but your role too. Depending on your skills and interests you’ll develop your role as you see fit. You’ll be helping streamline and structure our work and online cooperation tools. And you’ll organise meetings with stakeholders, who include university teachers, professors, faculty support staff and, of course, students. This includes preparing documents and presentations. You will also support the organisation of workshops, in which user needs and challenges as well as the design processes are defined in co-creation. Because our methods will only succeed if they are universally embraced and adopted by all the stakeholders.

In addition, you will closely monitor the progress of projects and activate team members to ensure actions are followed up and deadlines are met. You may, in fact, evolve as a project manager. You’ll also manage the content of our website, which is currently being developed. And you may take an active part in our programme’s communication, or develop graphic design skills, as visualisation is key to getting our ideas across. Whatever direction you’d like your role to take, you’ll get all the support and training you need to get there!
