Department of Developmental Psychology
The Department of Developmental Psychology at Tilburg University is an internationally diverse group of researchers who collaborate within the framework of the research program "Development of Individual Differences: Bio-Psycho-Social Perspectives". The department offers a stimulating and supporting work atmosphere in which scientists are encouraged to move beyond existing paradigms.
The research in our department focuses on psychosocial and cognitive changes during the entire lifespan (from childhood to old age) as well as their interaction with the environment. Besides healthy development, research is also being conducted on developmental disorders and delinquent behavior. Hence, the investigation of individual differences in development are central. On the faculty level, our research is integrated in a faculty-wide program focusing on Health, Well-Being, and Adaptiveness.
The department is contributing to education programs in the Dutch and English Bachelor Psychology (Developmental and Lifespan Psychology; Forensic Psychology) and Master levels (Clinical Child and Youth Psychology; Clinical Forensic Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, Positive Psychology; and Research Master Individual Differences and Assessment).
