As a strategic HR Policy Advisor and Project Leader, you will work with colleagues to professionalize our services. With your passion for strategy and policy you are able to make the link between current HR themes and the ambitions of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). You are proactive, fulfill a pioneering role as project leader or advisor and steer towards achieving results. You create internal support for the development, optimization and implementation of the ES, and (new) services, policies and processes and for the customer satisfaction surveu (CSS). The measurements for both need to be developed (. The relationship to HR Analytics can then be made to gain insight into whether we are pushing the right buttons with our HR agenda. So an affinity with data and HR analytics is important.

You will join a team of professionals with a heart for the EUR, a passion for people and a focus on development and growth. The HR Strategy team is the link between the EUR strategy and HR, and facilitates the HR Management Team in monitoring and implementing the HR strategy within HR and the organization. This is a one-year project. In 2022 we want to measure the 'engagement and enablement' of our employees. The 'new style' ES should be ready and implemented in 2023.
About 55 colleagues are employed within the HR department. HR consists of the teams: Advice, Services, Learning & Career Centre, Health Safety & Wellbeing and a small staff (secretariat, HR Strategy and HR Legal).
As Policy Advisor - Project Leader you will work closely with colleagues within HR Strategy and the HR department. You report functionally to the Coordinator of HR Strategy and hierachically to the Director of HR. In addition, you also actively work on your own development by participating in training courses or networks to keep your own knowledge up to standard.

We offer an internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with good terms of employment in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).
The employment contract is for the period of 12 months for 0.7 - 0.9 FTE. The salary depends on your knowledge and experience and for a full-time appointment amounts to between € 3.098,- and € 5.439,- gross per month (scale 10-11, CAO NU). The EUR has attractive terms of employment, including 8% vacation pay, a year-end bonus of 8.3% and a very generous leave scheme. Furthermore, the EUR is affiliated with ABP for pension provision and we offer partially paid parental leave. Employees can also make use of EUR facilities, such as the Training and Development Platform (TOP), the Erasmus Sports Center and the University Library. Internal candidates enjoy a preferential position over external candidates.
