Job description

For the European Commission funded Horizon Europe project DELIVER (DELiberative ImproVEment of oRal care quality), we seek to appoint a PhD student in Medical Law (fulltime, part-time possible) to carry out innovative law research on the regulation of oral care quality improvement in European countries.

The work conducted will be in close collaboration with academic partners and collaborators from several EU countries.

Tasks and responsibilities
  • Conduct research regarding the legal and regulatory basis for oral care quality improvement in terms of ensuring equity in access to oral care, commissioning of oral care and payment systems, and standards for professional conduct such as clinical guidelines, professional licensure, and ISO standards.
  • Liaise with and coordinate collaboration with other consortium members of the EU DELIVER project.
  • Participate in and facilitate regular project meetings.
  • Support the Chair for Quality and Safety of Oral Health Care in all scientific, educational, and administrative matters.
  • Preparation of research results in the form of publications in international journals as well as presentations at national and international conferences.
  • Willingness to write grant proposals.

Requirements

You have a masters degree (or equivalent) in law, preferably with specialization in medical law. You have good skills in law research methods.

In addition you possess the profile below:
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
  • Ability and willingness to acquire new skills for research and education.
  • Ability and willingness to work in interdisciplinary and international teams.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 4 years.
