Job description

Are you the coordinator with strong organizational skills, who wants to join our content team? Are you ready to support our teachers and other team members in developing our new hybrid course about: Biobased Materials for Future Proof Design? Then this could be the ideal project for you! We are looking for a Junior Projectmanager Sustainable Textiles, starting September 1st 2022 till April 1st 2023 for 32 hours a week!

Circular Fashion Lab , Wageningen University & Research has developed a Circular Fashion MOOC and will expand on the existing course material. The new course will be a collaboration with ArtEZ University of the Arts and other external experts. Currently we are looking for a Junior Projectmanager Sustainable Textiles to help the development of the course. You will help the content team in preparing, designing, developing and elaborating material for the course. Moreover, you operate as a linking pin with the production team.

Primary tasks
Your main responsibilities are:
  • to assist the content team in writing a blueprint and module outlines for the course;
  • to safeguard the consistency between course parts developed by different teachers, e.g. in look-and-feel, organization and terminology;
  • to coordinate the planning with the production team, guard the production timeline and remind teachers of deadlines (coming up or overdue);
  • to keep the production board up-to-date;
  • to organize bilateral and plenary meetings with the teachers (set date, book a room, prepare agenda, take notes);
  • to assist teachers in booking the studio.
Additional tasks
  • find articles or other background materials upon the teachers' suggestions;
  • collect or create images to be used in the slides for the videos or as illustrations with texts and assignments;
  • check if all copyrights are cleared for images and articles that the teachers wish to use;
  • together with the Instructional Designer, give feedback to teachers on draft materials (video scripts, texts and assignments);
  • write 'glue texts' connecting different parts of the course, e.g. introduction sentences to each video;
  • process text edits proposed by our native speaker;
  • attend the production day and production stand-up meetings.

Requirements

  • you have recently completed a Master's degree, preferably from Biobased Science or a related field;
  • proven experience in project management;
  • you have excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail;
  • you are able to perform under pressure and work with deadlines;
  • proficient in English, level C1.

In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €2.574,- and €3.392,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 7).

Please note, that due to Dutch Immigration Law, you will not be able to obtain a working permit if you are not an EU citizen. Applications for this position from outside EU will therefore not be taken into account.
