We are looking for an enthusiastic, take-charge professional that can support UMIO with all financial aspects and processes and that can act as a back up for our HR colleague. Someone who is firm in his/her convictions and does not shu away from dialogue when necessary to represent the interest of our organisation. You support the UMIO director and you are the day to day financial support for all UMIO colleagues when it concerns administrative and financial issues. You work in good cooperation with the financial consultants and controllers of SBE and together with the Management Assistant and Secretary of UMIO, you are responsible for high quality support in a broad sense. In this job you:
• Are responsible for the units’ internal financial administration. This includes dealing with declarations, approving incoming invoices and sending out outgoing invoices as well as checking the monthly budget statements
• Prepare all documents for the annual budget cycle and therefore work closely together with UMIO colleagues, the unit director, the UMIO director and the controller of SBE
• Advise the UMIO MT on financial matters year-round
• Are the contact person for the UM “Tacs-team” when hiring external expertise and you have knowledge of fiscal consequences in this process
• Are the back-up for all HR matters

You are accurate, pro-active, service-oriented and well-organized. You work with an honest and critical attitude and you are able to look at challenges from different perspectives. You can deal with peak loads, you are capable of multi-tasking and you look for more than one possible answer to a financial question. We are looking for a colleague with an upbeat personality, who brings a positive contribution to the UMIO team and who also fulfils the following requirements.
• Successful completion of a relevant Middle /Higher Vocational Education (or Dutch MBO+/ HBO) or equal educational program.
• Experience in a similar function
• Experience with financial systems, preferably SAPCloud
• Ability to organize the workload and set clearly defined priorities

Fixed-term contract: 1 jaar.

• We offer a 0.6 fte appointment for the period of one year with the possibility of extension.
• The salary will be set in salary scale 8 or 9 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (from € 2.818 to € 4.257 gross per month depending on experience and qualifications, based on a full-time appointment). On top of this, there is a 8% holiday allowance and a 8.3% year-end allowance.
• Starting date is preferably start September/ October 2022.
