Erasmus Enterprise is looking for a Senior Community Manager who finds it challenging to further develop the community. You will also have a connecting, facilitating and entrepreneurial role towards the different community members on campus and beyond.

Job description

You are part of the small but growing EE team and report to the CEO of EE. You work closely together with the Head of Business Development, Event Manager (direct report), Marketing Manager and Controller, thus forming the management team. You find it a challenge to be the link between the university, the business world and community members, whereby you identify opportunities in the market to further expand the position of the community, for example in the form of housing and events. You find it a challenge to go to the next level and help set up structural processes and partnerships.

You are able to carry out the wishes of the community, this can be in knowledge but also in the organization of a lunch, events, programmes or the setting up of rent and connection possibilities. You are aware of the role of the university in the region and see opportunities to expand this.

Job profile

  • Enlarging, structurally setting up and maintaining the Community. With existing community members (Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, ERBS, Yes!Delft, PortXL, Graduate Entrepreneur). 
  • Aligning contracts (the content and thereby the communication to the various community members).
  • Helping to set up rent and event administration.
  • Being a project manager (scripts) in the setting up and continuation of events.
  • Being a good programme manager for all events: setting up and thus being present at events with inspiring content fitting the needs of the community members. Contacting speakers, coordinating programmes, etc.
  • Commercializing the community in the region and strengthening ties with Erasmus University Rotterdam.

You are a proactive, flexible personality and enjoy the challenge of improving processes in a dynamic environment, but also of implementing and independently setting up processes. You work in a project-based manner, and you are familiar with the principle of stakeholder management. Job requirements

  • Academic-staffing level, with a master's degree from the faculty of Economics.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant work experience in complex and dynamic commercial environment, preferably with managerial and event experience.
  • Connecting and entrepreneurial, with the ability to switch easily between different environments.
  • Commercially strong and good statistical insight.
  • Enjoys working in a process-oriented and accurate way.
  • Hands-on mentality.
  • Working independently, but also within a team.
  • Good oral and written command in Dutch and English.
  • You are an EU citizen (i.e. not only an EU resident) or you already have a residence and work permit. You live and continue to live in the Netherlands.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: one year, with the possibility of a longer-term contract if you show that you are a good match for us.
