Job description

We seek new colleagues who contribute to further strengthen and extend the department's reputation for excellence in research and teaching. Our research aims at having impact and reaching the top international academic journals in ourfield. Our teaching focuses on econometrics, statistics and data science courses and thesis supervision.

Your duties
  • doing innovative research and publish this research in the international top journals of your field;
  • contributing to a stimulating learning environment for students in econometrics at all levels (BSc and MSc), andcontinuing to improve teaching quality.

Requirements

  • a PhD degree, specializing in econometrics, statistics, data science, or a related field
  • strong research potential, preferably evidenced by publications
  • a research focus on the study, development, and theoretical backbone of new methodology rather thanon its application only;
  • teaching experience, evidenced by good evaluations
  • fluency in English

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 2 years.

A challenging position in a socially involved organization and a dynamic, ambitious international group of colleagues. Remuneration amounts depend on the level of the position and your experience and follow the national job profiles based on the university job ranking system. The positions are full-time, but part-time positions (preferably≥0.8fte) can also be discussed.

The initial employment contract for a Postdoc position will be typically for a period of 2 years, with the possibility of extend the contract to 4 years in total.
