In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, executing and monitoring internal communications activities within the School of Business and Economics, with the objective of building engagement among staff and fostering a collaborative, transparent and engaging work environment.
You will join an international, dynamic team of 8 people responsible for marketing, recruitment and communications at the School of Business and Economics.
As an internal communications officer, your main tasks will include the following:
Fixed-term contract: one year, with the possibility of a permanent contract afterwards based on a mutual match.

We offer a 0.6 FTE appointment for the period of one year, with the possibility of a permanent contract afterwards based on a mutual match. Remuneration will be according to scale 9 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, depending on education and relevant work experience. This implies a gross monthly salary between € 3.098,00 and € 4.257,00 per month (based on a full-time appointment). Each year the standard salary is supplemented with a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
The university’s relocation policy stipulates that the selected candidate is supported to move to (the vicinity of) Maastricht. If the candidate is not already living in Maastricht (or its surroundings), they will be eligible for moving allowances. Other secondary conditions include a pension scheme, extensive leave entitlements, commuting allowance, parental and partner leave, and more.
