Job description

The Education Coordinator is part of the Team Education and Student Affairs - Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering (ESA AP/EE) of the departments of Applied Physics and Science Education (APSE) and Electrical Engineering (EE). The team is responsible for supporting the education of almost all Bachelor and Master programs of these departments. This includes curriculum design, quality assurance, educational policy, support for educational innovations and organization of education. 
Within the ESA AP/EE team, two education coordinators are employed; one for each department. Due to internal transfer to the central ESA department of the current officer we are looking for a new colleague.

As Education Coordinator you are responsible for the coordination and organization of the enormous palette of the departmental education activities of the Electrical Engineering department. You contribute to the development of the educational program, identify bottlenecks and investigate possible improvements in the design and implementation of education. You are able to collect appropriate management information, link key figures and steering numbers and analyze them. You maintain the educational information on the digital study guide, the digital learning environment Canvas and the EE website. You are also involved in information activities for students and teachers. 

In addition, you have an active role in coordinating and organizing the staffing (teachers) and facilities required for the optimal running of the educational organization, both logistically and financially. You will also coordinate a wide range of other educational support projects and processes. You will energetically take on all further tasks that fit within the UFO profile of the position of Education Coordinator.
You collaborate closely with the program director EE, the manager of ESA AP/EE, the education coordinator AP and various other colleagues within the team ESA AP/EE.

Requirements

Do you have a completed academic or higher professional  education and/or work experience at a comparable level? And do you have affinity with coordinating (educational) activities? Then you might be the colleague we are looking for! 
This dynamic position requires flexibility, stress resistance, an independent attitude, organizational sensitivity but above all professionalism and pro-activity. In addition, you have excellent oral and written skills in Dutch and English. You work in a structured, organized way and think ahead. No need to say that you are service and result oriented and entrepreneurial. As a team player you have a feeling for mutual relations, good coordination, integrity and discretion. Social and communication skills are not lacking. Your competencies also include: analytical ability, empathy and skill in using modern digital computer systems, including routine and flexible use of MS office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. A proactive attitude will help you take full advantage of the challenges this position presents.


Conditions of employment

Initially an annual contract, possibly via Euflex, the secondment agency of TU/e, with the intension to convert this into a permanent TU/e  contract after a mutual positive evaluation. A fulltime contract is preferred but a minimum of 32 hours per week is also an option. The salary amounts, depending on your knowledge and experience, from € 2.960,-  to maximum € 4.670,- gross per month based on a full-time appointment (salary scale 10 CAO Dutch Universities). Also excellent fringe benefits, including a fixed end-of-year bonus of 8.3%, a vacation allowance of 8%, 41 paid holidays at a fulltime 40 hour workweek, opportunity for hybrid working, various training and education opportunities plus excellent sports facilities.
