Job description

Are you up for the challenge? For the European Commission funded Horizon Europe project PRUDENT (Prioritization, incentives and Resource use for sUstainable DENTistry), we seek to appoint a project manager, who will be responsible for the daily implementation and management of PRUDENT, under the direct supervision of the project coordinator. Will you join our project?

You will play a pivotal liaison role with all internal and external stakeholders, spanning all Work Packages (WPs) and tasks of the PRUDENT project implementation. In the role of project manager you will be the centre of communication between all internal and external stakeholders. You will provide prompt liaison with the coordination team and the assigned EC project advisor for the implementation of further risk mitigation strategies, you assist all WP and task leaders and you ensure the involvement of appropriate internal research structures.

During the project, you have a monitoring role, for example you will check the overall progress regarding milestones and deliverables and will be responsible for the operationalisation and timing of all activities in the project. In addition to this, your task is to champion the preparation of the deliverables. You also have a responsible task, because you are the one to identify unanticipated risks. You are also responsible for the PRUDENT data management and the preparation of the technical interim and financial reports. For these reports you ensure timely submission. Finally you will occasionally travel abroad.

Requirements

We are looking for an exceptional project manager with organisational skills and high attention to detail. You are able to cope with thight deadlines and you also have a high level of resilience. Does this sound like you? Then we would like to get acquainted.

You have proven expertise in managing research projects, preferably you have relevant scientific background (e.g. degree in health sciences, social sciences, medicine/dentistry). Futhermore, you are able to work effectively with dynamic and diverse staff, and are therefore fluent in English and Dutch (spoken and written). In addittion, you also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You are a teamplayer, but also able to work independently.

In addition you possess the profile below:
  • International experience or international exposure to best practices in project management.
  • Experience/ knowledge in principles and techniques of EU projects planning.
  • Experience/ knowledge in DMP.
  • Experience/knowledge in international grant application and bid management processes.
  • Experience/ knowledge in non-academic collaborations and knowledge transfer activities.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 5 years.

  • As a full-time employee (36 hours per week), you are entitled to approximately 168 vacation hours (over 23 days) per year.
  • Radboud university medical center pays 70% of the pension premium. You pay the rest of the premium with your gross salary.
