Your PhD research is positioned at the intersections of three Radboud University departments: the Centre for Migration Law (CMR), Criminal Law and Criminology, and Geography at the Nijmegen School of Management (NSM-RUNOMI). You will collaborate closely with your supervisors: Prof. Tesseltje de Lange (CMR, Principle Investigator of the DignityFIRM project), Prof. Masja van Meeteren (Criminology) and Dr Pascal Beckers (RUNOMI/Geography).
You will be based at CMR.
The Centre for Migration Law (CMR) is part of the Faculty of Law. Its research focus is on European and national migration law and is characterized by its international and interdisciplinary approach and a strong empirical component. The Centre conducts legal analyses as well as sociolegal research on the effects of migration law and policies.
Centre for State and Law
Your PhD research will be embedded in the public law-oriented Research Centre for State and Law (SteR), which is part of the Faculty of Law at Radboud University. CMR and Criminology participate in the SteR research programme. SteR research explores the developments in the field of public law and, in particular, the relation between law and state.
Graduate School of the Faculty of Law
As a PhD candidate, you will be part of the Faculty's Graduate School and participate in its activities. This includes following the core PhD training programme. RUNOMI was initiated in 2018 to strengthen university-wide, interdisciplinary collaboration in research and teaching and with societal actors. The network connects more than 100 member scientists from various RU faculties, who all have expertise on migrant inclusion issues.
