Job description

We are looking for a Research Technician to join the research group of Matilde Galli at the Hubrecht Institute in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The lab studies cell-cycle control in animals using C. elegans and human organoids as model systems. We are interested in understanding how cells determine their cell division patterns and how cell-cycle changes are orchestrated during cellular differentiation. Further information about research in the lab can be found at: www.hubrecht.eu/research-groups/galli-group/ and www.gallilab.org

The technician will be involved in performing genetic, molecular and cell biological experiments using C. elegans (including generating genetically-modified C. elegans strains, genotyping, and using fluorescence microscopy assays), as well as assisting in the day-to-day management of the lab. The individual will be expected to be an active member of the lab and actively participate in weekly lab meetings.
