In the Library & Information Services department of the TU/e, the product area data & insights is looking for an allround Business Intelligence (BI) developer. As BI developer, you will work in a small multidisciplinary BI team of technical and non-technical experts. This team is steering the data-driven journey of the Eindhoven University of Technology. You will have a broad role in our BI team with both front-end and back-end activities. As an all-round BI developer you work in a dynamic environment in which you work together with other BI developers, information analysts and various key users. You will be involved in every part of the development process, from information gathering to ETL development.

The University's BI-environment consists of a data warehouse, dashboards and reports showing historical trends as well as future prognoses. We make use of Microsoft Azure components (e.g. Datafactory pipelines, Datalake) and SSIS to build and maintain our ETL. Reports are built with PowerBI (DAX). We are currently evaluating whether the BI team will join efforts with the data & analytics team and use the TU/e's databricks platform.

• You have a Bachelor degree or higher in an IT/ business-economics related field;
• You feel comfortable with doing both front- and back-end development, depending on the demand of the University's domains;
• You are enthusiastic about developing an ETL process and designing the star schemas which enable the University to get relevant insights in education, research, HR, finance and other areas;
• Experience with SQL, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory is a must;
• Experience with DAX, Python, and Databricks is nice to have;
• Preference will be given to candidates with ETL-development experience;
• You have an innovative mindset and love to propose new solutions fitting the University's needs. You love to keep yourself up-to-date on the state-of-the-art solutions with regard to business intelligence and data science;
• You have good communication skills in Dutch as well as English, with a customer-focused attitude;
• You are strong in conceptual and analytical thinking and have a solution-oriented mindset.
