Job description

This postdoc position is part of the ERC project 'BayCause: high-dimensional nonparametric Bayesian causal inference'. The overall aim of the project is to develop new causal inference methods for high-dimensional settings, meaning many covariates/features relative to the number of individuals ('small n, large p').

About your role
You will do research in high-dimensional causal inference, developing new methods for a variety of outcome types (continuous, binary and survival). Working with a potential outcomes or graphical approach, or both, you will investigate a Bayesian approach towards causal effect estimation in high dimensions. The focus can be on method development and/or theory development. Topics of particular interest are: sensitivity analysis for unmeasured confounding; combining multiple data sets, and developing Bernstein-von Mises theorems. There is a possibility to tailor the particular research projects to the interests of the candidate. The new methods should be made available to the community in R and python.

You will present your results at workshops and conferences, for which a travel budget is available. You are also expected to participate in some light teaching duties of the department, and to take part in local seminars and events.
