Job description

Your mission:
Responsible for collecting, collating, and evaluating issues with data and enforcing data usage policies.

Responsibilities and tasks

1.Data Stewardship:

  • Design, implementation and testing of new data collection processes including data collection forms (DCF) development
  • Design and running data quality reports and undertaking appropriate actions
  • Check, clean and transfer data
  • Data retrieval including designing data reports and data report running
  • Test data capture front end features and investigate reported software/database errors in collaboration with IT team
  • Ensure software/database improvements and error correction
  • Carry out computerized system validation activities (supporting consolidation/harmonization of data, creating standard data definitions, and maintain a consistent use of data assets across the organization, documenting data policies and data standards)

2. Project Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate various data management related project activities within the Registry
  • Contribute to the implementation of new databases and software
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with EBMT staff, EBMT Members Centres, National Registries as well as EBMT and non-EBMT stakeholders

3. Planning and Reporting:

  • Assist in the achievement of targets for data management and data quality as set by Senior Management.
  • Schedule automated report running and also run ad hoc data management reports in the relevant EBMT databases

 4. Assist with service development through project coordination and communication with relevant parties

5. Carry out and assists with DM related training

Requirements

Requirements

  • Degree in the field of biomedical sciences, healthcare and/or bioinformatics or similar
  • 5+ years work experience as data manager, data steward, data custodian or related in research
  • Experience with clinical databases, clinical standards (e.g. OMOP, CDISC) and vocabularies (e.g. SNOMED CT, MedDRA)
  • Familiarized with clinical and medical data (ideally hematology, immunology and/or HSC transplant programs and new cell therapies)
  • Fluent in English, excellent oral and written skills
  • Analytical thinking, strong problem-solving skills
  • Initiative
  • Oriented to detail, thorough

Nice-to-haves

  • R, Python, and/or SQL experience
