Job description

Do you want to contribute to the development of animal-free methods for predicting the toxic effects and kinetics (ADME) of substances in humans and animals? Do you want to work in an environment where the latest research methods are developed and assessed for applicability to food safety? The Toxicology Team of Wageningen Food Safety Research (WFSR) is looking for a research technician!

Within the Toxicology Team, we develop, validate and apply non-animal methods (cell-based methods and computer models) and state-of-the-art molecular and analytical techniques to assess hazards of substances in food and animal feed. We have developed various animal-free methods which allow us to predict and model the effects and kinetics of substances in humans and farm animals.

As a research technician you will contribute to the further development and implementation of these animal-free approaches. You will be involved in cell-based studies on the effects and on the kinetics (such as the metabolism and transport) of substances.
