Job description

Looking for an exciting communications job with lots of creativity and autonomy? At the School of Business and Economics, we are in search of a Content Creator who will help boost our engagement with our students, prospective students and alumni.

As a Content Creator, you'll be in charge of creating online content like blog posts, social media posts and videos, as well as for editorial tasks such as editing the website and email communication. You will also support our events team with event communication.

In this role, you will work alongside an international, dynamic team of 10 people responsible for marketing, recruitment and communications at the School of Business and Economics.

What you will do

  • Manage and edit content for the university website and student intranet.
  • Create and manage multichannel content (such as blog posts, newsletters, videos and social media posts) in order to best reach our target audiences.
  • Create and edit basic visuals used in communication material in accordance with corporate communication branding guidelines.
  • Coordinate and support social media coverage for events, such as Open Days, graduations ceremonies and introduction days. 
  • Produce and edit (automated) email campaigns, in consultation with the other communications specialists.
  • Provide editorial support to the team and our internal stakeholders.
  • Support our events team with event communication.

Requirements

  • Work experience in a similar position is preferred.
  • Experience creating different types of content.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • You can create basic visuals in Canva or Adobe CC. Graphic design skills is a plus.
  • Experience with website editing is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proactive attitude and an excellent team player.
  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking). Proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 0.8 FTE appointment for 7 months.

  • A salary depending on knowledge and experience, based on scale 8 CAO-NU (between € 2,818 and € 3,764 gross per month based on full-time employment);
  • In addition to the monthly salary, an 8.0% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus apply in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement of Dutch Universities;
  • An employee appointed for 38 hours per week is entitled to 29 days on an annual basis;
  • (232 hours) paid leave. This becomes entitlement in the case of part-time employment;
  • adjusted accordingly;
