Within the IM group, we develop new reactive electrochemical and proton conductive ceramic membranes for challenging separations and reactions. In the CPM group, we design innovative catalysts and study solid-oxide fuel cells. We work with dozens of tailor-made separation systems to test the membranes' performances and to analyze the electrocatalytic performances.
The combined IM and CPM groups consist of approximately 40 people including professors, postdocs, (post)graduate students, technical and secretarial support.
YOUR CHALLENGE:The team of technicians within the IM and CPM groups supports research activities in various ways.
Firstly, you will maintain essential infrastructure such as labs, software, and testing equipment. Secondly, you will support the mechanical and electronic design and realization of experimental setups - including reactive electrochemical membrane setups, high-temperature solid-oxide fuel cell systems, and catalytic reactor test equipment.
In this position, you will be a full member of the team of technicians. Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting of home-built testing equipment.
- Support of Swagelok installations and gas connections.
- Support of procurement for the lab materials.
