The YUFE Institutional Coordinator at Maastricht University (UM) is the main point of contact for the university’s strategic engagement in the Young Universities for the Future of Europe Alliance (YUFE), both for the UM community as well as for the other YUFE partners. The position is embedded in the YUFE UM team at Academic Affairs.
The YUFE Institutional Coordinator (IC) works closely with the Institutional Coordinators of the other YUFE partners in the YUFE Executive Committee. This Committee ensures optimal exchange, synergy and alignment between YUFE partners. Alongside the UM President, the YUFE IC functions as the face of YUFE at the highest institutional levels and acts as an inspiring ambassador to local students, staff, and external stakeholders.
The YUFE Institutional Coordinator at UM:
The ideal candidate is an individual with proven experience in strategic international policy-development and implementation combined with strong diplomatic and intercultural skills.
You are, or are able to quickly adapt to become, well-connected within the institution and equipped with excellent social and communication skills. You are able to initiate and carry out strategic policy advising, development and implementation within UM in collaboration with other relevant experts.
We are looking for a motivated senior candidate equipped with excellent management and intercultural communication skills. The IC is able to forge new collaboration and strengthen the existing relationships on multiple levels within the institution, within the Alliance, within the community and within the national and European political arena.
