Our ideal candidate has the following profile and experience:

• affinity with human rights and international criminal law;
• excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English;
• demonstrated organisational skills, including strong administrative skills;
• is available one day per week for the period of the project.

We offer a temporary part-time contract (0.2 fte) for the period from preferably October 15th, 2023 until August 31th, 2024.

The gross monthly salary based on full-time employment (38 hours per week) ranges from €2,618 up to a maximum of €2,846 (salary scale SA4J). This is exclusive 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% end-of-year bonus. The starting salary will be based on qualifications, expertise and relevant experience. The profile student-assistant is applicable in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities.

The research profile of the members of the section, which partly determines the education, is international, internationally comparative law and nationally oriented.Employees of the section provide education in the bachelor's degree program in Dutch law and in the master's degree program in Public Law, track Criminal Law and in the master's degree program in International Criminal Law .The research of the members of the section is housed at the Amsterdam Center for International Law (ACIL) and Amsterdam Center for Criminal Justice (ACCJ).
