The ideal candidate:

• has a PhD degree or equivalent in chemistry, chemical biology, drug discovery or a related field and a passion for drug discovery
• has experience with wet-lab experiments in a biochemistry or proteomics laboratory
• has experience with running mass spectrometry-based proteomic experiments
• has experience with data analysis of mass spectrometry-based proteomic experiments
• has excellent proficiency in the English language
• is a team player that is passionate to contribute to an excellent and dynamic team of researchers

We are offering an inspiring work environment consisting of a diverse team of excellent researchers in the field of drug discovery with a proven, internationally outstanding track record. Through the facilities of the Leiden Institute of Chemistry and the new possibilities of the Oncode-Accelerator consortium, we are offering world-leading facilities to perform the described research with all required infrastructure in place (e.g. Qexactive HF and timsTOF HT mass spectrometers, liquid handling robot, cell culture facilities). We are engaged in a variety of drug discovery projects with applications for cancer and other diseases, which will give the possibility to the candidate to contribute to a large variety of projects.

The position starts as soon as possible. We offer a position for 12 months that can upon satisfactory performance be extended for one to three more year(s). You will be appointed in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. The salary ranges from € 3.226,- to € 5.090,- gross per month, depending on experience (pay scale 10).
