Team Leader Facilities Support
Are you motivated to build the facilities support services of Wageningen University & Research? We are looking for an enthusiastic, independent and proactive Facilities Support (FS) team leader.

Your Job
As an experienced team leader, you will work in a customer contact environment. You will form self-managing teams with employees at different locations, each with their own responsibility.
You are able to realize a further professionalization from execution to direction and in the field of hospitality in our services. In addition, you will supervise the team members, you will be responsible for the substantive management of work processes and you will take care of training, planning, recruitment & selection and coaching of the team. Finally, you translate customer needs into appropriate services and ensure that the goals of the team are achieved. You do this in consultation with fellow team leaders and the head of Operational Services.
Your duties and responsibilities:
  • You are responsible for the quality and deployment of employees, you draw up an overall annual schedule and periodically evaluate performance;
  • You provide a stimulating contribution to the development of employees and address employees on agreements made and results;
  • You are (jointly) responsible for the development of Facilities Support in a broad sense, both in terms of service provision and employee development;
  • You set the parameters, outline and prioritize, and share responsibility for the standardization of services and processes;
  • You maintain close contacts with internal clients (location managers), you monitor quality and translate the service demand into an adequate offer at a good price-quality ratio;
  • You are a substantive sparring partner for the internal client;
  • You are able to take the lead in certain themes and projects across FS.

Requirements

Your Qualities
You are a stimulating and coaching manager and obviously have a customer-friendly and service-oriented attitude. You are a real team player, but also able to work independently.
We consider the following competencies important for a good performance in this position: customer focus, planning & organization, environmental awareness, connecting leadership and coaching.
You also possess:
  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level;
  • Supplemented with training focused on leadership;
  • Knowledge in the field of Facility Management;
  • Affinity with Health & Safety and HR issues;
  • Dutch C1 level is mandatory;
  • Several years of experience in the field of (commercial) services.

Facility Management is a broadly oriented organizational unit within WUR and responsible for a wide range of services: from housing to automation, from sports facilities to coffee machines and from reception services to purchasing and library services. Facility Management aims to provide students and colleagues with a learning and working environment in which they can work together on the future and get the best out of themselves. Within our Facilities Support department, we provide facility services within the research and education buildings of Wageningen University & Research. We do this with over 130 facilities employees and receptionists and 3 team leaders, spread over more than 15 buildings.

In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €3.166,- and € 4.520,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 9 ). Additionally, a contract for 32 hours can be discussed. You will initially receive a one-year contract, which will be extended to an open-ended contract upon in mutual enthusiasm.
