The challenge

The position is for a five-year track in Auditing research. As a market leader in Accountancy education in the Netherlands, Nyenrode invests highly in Auditing research. In the past decade, because of its strong connections with the auditing profession, Nyenrode has been able to conduct unique research. The candidate will be challenged to conduct research in the field of audit methodology and audit quality. Especially, Nyenrode is investing in research that validates the effectiveness of audit methodology using data science- and audit simulation techniques. The candidate will become part of an internationally highly qualified team with a strong dedication to both academic research and teaching excellence in the area of Accounting, Auditing & Controlling.

Teaching

Depending on teaching experience, initial teaching responsibilities will be in the MSc and BSc in Accountancy programs.

Research

We are interested in candidates with a clear academic research ambition and a background in quantitative research methods. Candidates must have ambition to publish in international peer reviewed journals, and to develop a high-quality and original research portfolio that is relevant to both academia and Accountancy practice.

Who are you?

You have a MSc-degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university, preferably in the field of Accounting and Auditing. We ask your teaching to be in fluent English and when you are not already Dutch speaking to have the willingness to learn the Dutch. When not already BKO registered we ask you to be willing to obtain the BKO-registration within two years. You should be comfortable and willing to work in a team.
