Immunotherapy is a cancer treatment type in which the patient’s immune system is stimulated to kill cancer cells. T cells play a large role in immunotherapy. In our laboratory we try to understand how T cells behave around different types of cancer and how different cancer treatments (e.g. immunotherapies, chemotherapies) affect these T cells. This knowledge can then be used to understand why patients sometimes not respond to immunotherapy and what treatment (combinations) would be best for them.
As a technician in our small group you will work on characterization of T cells using techniques such as cell culturing, flowcytometry, and functional analysis of immune cells. As we often use patient materials in our research, you will also be the main responsible person and coordinator for the processing and registration of tumor material for a number of research groups so they can be used in various research projects.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic technician. If you meet the following requirements and are interested in this position we would like to invite you to apply.
Fixed-term contract: 1 year.
The employment will be for a period of at least 1 year, with the possibility for extension. The gross salary per month will be from € 2.144 to € 3.072 according to the FWG-function group 45, depending on education and previous experience.
The terms of employment will be in accordance with the CAO Ziekenhuizen (Collective Labour Agreement for Hospitals).
