Job description

Research: you will lead M3i, currently comprising an assistant professor, junior researchers and part-time clinical professors. You will form partnerships with external parties, and attract national and international funding. You will (co-)supervise junior researchers (PhD and Postdoc positions) and MSc and BSc students in their research projects.

Education: your teaching revolves around the physics and technology of medical imaging and patient care. You may also be active in postdoctoral and professional training in the Experimental Centre of Technical Medicine in the newly formed Technical Medical (TechMed) Centre. You will spend approximately 20-30% of your time on education, including organizational tasks. We require you to have or obtain a University Teaching Qualification (UTQ), for which we offer training.

Requirements

You obtained a PhD degree from a leading university. You have a strong background in science, biomedical engineering or techmed research in the range from fundamental, through translational, to clinical research, and in education. You have several high-impact publications, and abilities in funding acquisition and project leadership. Because of the leadership role, you have well-developed communication skills, can work in a multi-disciplinary technical environment and build durable research relationships with clinical research institutes. Your network is large, and you are able to expand this.

Conditions of employment

We offer an appointment for 0,8 - 1,0 fte (1,0 fte = 38 hours/week), a salary (depending on your experience) to a maximum of € 9.375,- gross per month, and attractive additional employment conditions.
