Job description

The Department of Psychology, part of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (FMG), currently has a Postdoctoral position Sleep and Memory

Your main research topic will regard the manipulation of sleep and memory. To this purpose you can use a well-validated method, developed at the UvA-Sleep and Memory lab, that allows precise and flexible targeting of stimuli to specific oscillatory sleep dynamics. This closed-loop neurostimulation (CLNS) method has thus far been used successfully to deepen sleep and boost or depress individual memories.

You will be expected to further develop this research line into innovative directions, e.g. investigating manipulation of as yet unexplored oscillatory dynamics. Responsibilities will also involve assistance on valorisation efforts and co-supervision of interns and junior investigators working on other CLNS projects.
