The department of Mathematics and Computer Science (M&CS) of the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands has a permanent position open for PhD-TA students. The PhD-TA position is a five year research-teaching position and should lead to a PhD thesis. A PhD-TA student conducts and publishes scientific research and spends about 25% of her/his time on teaching (e.g. tutorials, practical classes and/or lectures). The research topic is open and can in principle be chosen by the candidate.

Job requirements
You have a solid background in mathematics and/or computer science;You have good communication skills in English, both in speaking and in writing;You have a sound understanding of mathematical (in particular combinatorial) optimization and/or theoretical computer science;You have experience in teaching and have developed didactic skills;In addition, you are inquisitive, analytically talented, and preferably equipped with implementation skills;Creativity and team spirit are also very welcome.
