Lecturers within the department have a wide variety of teaching tasks including tutoring of student groups, the grading of exercises and examinations, and tutoring in skills trainings for students. Teaching activities are oriented towards bachelor programs for economics and international business students. Moreover, a lecturer may be involved in developing and coordinating of courses in the curriculum of the department. Depending on their background and personal interests, a lecturer may be involved as well in courses offered by other business departments at the School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University. The working language is English. The length of the position is negotiable, with a maximum of five years. The preferred starting date is February 1st, 2019, but this is negotiable.

The ideal candidate holds a Master/PhD degree with a background in business economics, business administration, economics, human resource management, management, entrepreneurship, organization or strategy. The list is not exhaustive and candidates from related and relevant disciplines are also encouraged to apply. Relevant practical experience is not a prerequisite for the position, but is highly appreciated. Experience with working in a Problem Based Learning environment is considered  an advantage.

Fixed-term contract: maximum of five years.

Department of Organization and Strategy

The Department of Organization and Strategy of the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics was founded in the year 2002. In the relatively short period of its existence, the department has gained a strong reputation in both research and education. Our department is pursuing high quality research and publishes regularly in renowned international journals.
