Within the Analytical Chemistry Department of the Van 't Hoff Institute for Molecular Sciences (HIMS) the Biomolecular Systems Analytics group is looking to strengthen their research with a new Lab Manager, specialized in Mass Spectrometry and allied technologies.
The research in the group primarily relies on mass spectrometers to characterise and quantify a wide range of molecules. Proteins are of particular interest, either in the form of peptides or whole proteins. We therefore seek a technician to build and maintain the analytical pipeline for LC-MS, MS systems and data analytics. It concerns an appointment for two years with the prospect of a permanent appointment.

What do we require of you? You:
Applications from candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered. Previous experience with MS and LC-MS is a particular advantage. Experience with Ambient ionization methods will also be considered favorably.
The full-time appointment will be on a temporary basis for a maximum period of two years. A possible extension will be awarded depending on performance, funding and the projects’ needs.
Based on a full-time appointment (38 hours per week) the gross monthly salary will range from €2, 835 to €4, 274 (salary scale 9/10) depending on experience. This is excl. 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% end of year bonus. The Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities is applicable.
