The Biosciences Practical Education & Educational Support team is searching for an Education Support Officer. As an Education Support Officer, you will be involved in innovating the Bachelor’s curriculum in Biology based on newly acquired knowledge and best practices. This also includes working with different e-learning and online tools. Additionally, you will be responsible for the Portfolio course and for preparing, implementing, supervising and coordinating student laboratory work associated with multiple courses of the Bachelor’s programme in Biology. In this job, you will work in close collaboration with teachers, other scientific and supporting staff and student assistants.

• MSc in Biology or Medical Biology (or a similar discipline);
• experience in the field of education and in developing e-learning material;
• English: level C1/C2;
• Dutch: level C1/C2 is preferable;
• a team player who can work independently and is assertive, well-organised and helpful.

• employment: 0.8 - 1.0 FTE
• a maximum gross monthly salary of € 3,895 based on a 38-hour working week (salary scale 9)
• in addition to the salary: an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus
• duration of the contract: 1 year with possibility for extension;
• you will be classified as a Education / Research Officer level 2 in the Dutch university job-ranking system (UFO);
• you will be able to make use of our Dual Career Service where our Dual Career Officer will assist with family related support, such as child care, and help your partner prepare for the local labour market and with finding an occupation

Faculty of Science
The Biosciences Practical Education & Educational Support team is part of the Biosciences Education Institute of the Faculty of Science. The team supports teaching staff by taking an active role in developing, innovating and organising (practical) education in the Bachelor’s programme in Biology at Radboud University. Additionally, the team coordinates the development of (practical) skills in the Bachelor’s programme (e.g. reporting, laboratory skills, oral presentations, peer feedback). Because of the team’s cooperation with course and programme coordinators throughout the entire Bachelor’s programme, it plays an active role in signalling new opportunities and in improving the Biology curriculum.
