Job description

Programme descriptions

GPAC2 is a mature PhD programme with continuous support needs. It has 8 face-to-face workshop weeks per year and continuous online support. The programme has around 50 enrolled PhD fellows, global coverage and demands interactive communication skills. The workload is all-year round, with peaks during workshops in March, June and November. Marketing should be targeted to summer, as application deadline is 1 October.

EPRM is a blended training programme, training mid-career professionals to acquire research skills. There are face-to-face workshops, but no overlap with GPAC2 workshops. Peak support is required in September, December, January and April. The programme does well, but number of applicants should be more consistent. This could be done by continuous targeted marketing, and scholarship support.

MMDP is a 3-month course designed for practitioners and civil servants working in the field of migration/asylum. It aims at capacity building in the field of migration but is also available to those who would like to upgrade their knowledge in the field. Marketing takes place in the autumn, as the application deadline is December/January.

Furthermore, we offer three online migration courses with plans to expand this number. The courses are targeted at mid-career professionals working in the field or for those who would like to learn more about the field. The courses are parttime, taking about 10 hours per week. Recruitment is ongoing as students can start the program at any time.

In addition, we need marketing for our multidisciplinary and multicultural Master programme in Public Policy and Human Development (MPP). It is a 1-year programme with start date 1 September, and marketing activities should begin in October and be high in the months Jan-June, as the application deadline is 15 June.

Tasks

Carry out marketing for the GPAC2/EPRM/MMDP programmes and online courses, specifically targeting working professionals, including e.g. commissioning blogs, networking and social media, implementing marketing campaigns (1 day per week).

Carry out MPP marketing, including e.g. attending fairs, co-hosting open days, student network marketing and social media. Liaise with the Maastricht University marketing office, including attending regular meetings and contributing to reports and planning (2 days per week).
