The Eu-HEM board consists of five members: a chairperson and four programme directors from Erasmus University Rotterdam, University of Bologna, Management Centre Innsbruck and University of Oslo. You provide support to the board during regular meetings, with the preparations for the extension of the Mundus status in 2020, and for the programme’s re-accreditation in 2021. The position of secretary is situated under the programme director in the hierarchical structure.

As secretary you provide support to the Eu-HEM board in the decision-making process. You draft memos on the topics to be discussed. In this context, the Mundus application and the accreditation process are an important part of your work. You make enquiries on behalf of the board to obtain information on various matters. You monitor the performance of the decision-making process. You draw attention to both relevant internal developments and external developments within the four universities related to the performance of the board, and raise these matters for discussion. You are responsible for the content-related and process-oriented alignment between the board and the (international and local) education coordinators. You organise the board meetings, prepare the draft agenda, provide explanatory notes where needed for the topics to be discussed, and assume responsibility for the report of the meeting.
