Job description

Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM) is looking for an international programme coordinator. As international programme coordinator, you are part of the team of programme coordinators within ESHPM and the international coordinators team of the European Master in Health Economics & Management (Eu-HEM) joint degree. The position of programme coordinator falls under the programme director in the ESHPM hierarchical structure.

The international programme coordinator is responsible for the organisation of the Eu-HEM curriculum at EUR and makes arrangements for a number of joint activities with the partner universities. You are a key player in the Eu-HEM international learning community. In your role as connector, you, together with coordinators from partner universities, will be responsible for the organisation of the joint-degree programme (including the Erasmus Mundus project). You are the link to the administrative support, and you ensure that students quickly feel at home and are able to find their way at the location. Additionally, you coordinate the educational objectives and the quality measurements with the international coordinators team, the programme director, the lecturers, students, and the Eu-HEM board. You identify problem areas in the curriculum and the related organisational aspects, and propose suggestions for improvements and solutions. Your job role involves a dual focus: the education given in Rotterdam on the one hand, and the joint educational tasks of all four universities (such as thesis coordination) on the other. You additionally contribute to the continued development of the programme’s curriculum matrix. You will also be expected to prepare reports and advisory reports for the Eu-HEM board and the local programme director, and you will be responsible for budget management. You take a leading role in these activities while at the same time working closely with your Education Service Centre colleagues, the international coordinators at the partner universities, and your fellow coordinators at ESHPM. The position also requires you to travel abroad for a number of days a few times a year.
