The Mathematics Department at Radboud University (RU) in Nijmegen, Netherlands, is expanding in response to increased investment and seeks to make a number of new appointments. We welcome applications in areas related to the broad area of Applied Mathematics (including modelling, data analysis, applied analysis and computation) and at all levels ranging from assistant professor to full professor. Your research is in a field of Applied Mathematics, on an international level, publishing in top journals. You will teach three semester courses per year (we have reduced teaching for tenure track positions) and you will help develop an applied mathematics track in our Bachelor’s and Master’s curricula.
You will apply for research grants and you have the ambition to apply through NWA, Top Sectoren and Horizon Europe, using your contacts in industry and/or others disciplines. You will expand your industrial and interdisciplinary network, also with an eye to providing project opportunities to Bachelor’s and Master’s students in applied math.
The interviews will take place on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 May 2019.

We have recently appointed a full professor in Applied Analysis and this is an opportunity to take an active part in the growth of applied mathematics at RU. We are setting up a new applied mathematics curriculum and already have extensive collaborations with industry and other disciplines, such as astronomy, biology and computer science. The Faculty of Science (FNWI) at Radboud University is devoted to high-quality research and education in the natural sciences: mathematics, physics and astronomy, chemistry, biology and computer science. Research is divided into seven research institutes, including the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics (IMAPP). Interdisciplinarity is encouraged, for example, through interfaces with the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour and the Institute for Computing and Information Sciences.
