Job description

The Delta Institute for Theoretical Physics invites applications for postdoc position to start in Spring of 2019, in the groups of Jácome Armas (Amsterdam), Jan de Boer (Amsterdam) and Luca Giomi (Leiden).

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with an interest in hydrodynamics both in soft condensed matter physics and high energy physics. The aim of the project is to use recently developed methods in hydrodynamics in the above fields and to study topological properties of hydrodynamic modes in a variety of fluid models with different symmetries. You will help establish a new collaboration between Jácome Armas, Jan de Boer from the string theory group at the University of Amsterdam and Luca Giomi from the soft condensed matter group at Leiden University.
