Job description

The UI/UX Developer will work closely with researchers on crafting front-end solutions for web application projects. Candidates should have a passion for applying web technologies in innovative ways, an ability to collaborate with a diverse workforce, and a strong capability to develop effective interactive experiences with complex subject matter.

Role:

  • Collaborate with researchers to gather and evaluate user requirements;
  • Design and develop graphic user interface elements and software products;
  • Create functional UI prototypes and UI design concepts that lead to intuitive user experiences;
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback;
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.

Requirements

  • BSc + or MSc;
  • 3 yearn UI/UX development experience;
  • Strong programming skills;
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks and component libraries;
  • Thorough knowledge of the software development process as well as a proven track record of delivering successful project;s
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team players able to actively listen, take verbal instruction and extrapolate it to create concrete web content;

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

The mission of the Institute of Data Science is to foster an interfaculty environment for collaborative innovation in the development and application of data science technologies. IDS consists of a core team of data science experts that cooperate closely with researchers across disciplines such as medicine, life sciences, law, social sciences and humanities, business and economics, knowledge engineering and smart services.
