Job description

Within the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences (BMS The department of Research Methodology, Measurement and Data Analysis is looking for an Assistant Professor or a Junior Teacher.
The department offers education at bachelor, master and postgraduate levels on wide-ranging topics such as introductory research methodology, linear models, psychometrics and data science. The department's research is embedded in the faculty's core topics of Learning and Health: it is at the interface of new statistical methods and real-world problems in educational and health settings
  • You will contribute to the educational bachelor programs in the faculty of BMS in close collaboration with your colleagues in the department;
  • You will develop your own research domain within the current focus of our group, preferably related to big data techniques (assistant professor only);
  • You have the ambition to build a high-profile research line that gives you international recognition (assistant professor only);
  • You will acquire your own funding (assistant professor only).

Requirements

  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills;
  • You are up to date with new developments in research methodology and data analysis;
  • You are keen on developing new tools for teaching young students in new ways.
  • You have a passion for, and experience with, teaching at multiple levels;
  • You hold a PhD (assistant professor only);
  • You have a good publication and presentation track record (assistant professor only);
  • If you have experience in acquiring grants, this will strengthen your application.

Conditions of employment

  • Starting salary between € 2.709,- to € 5.656,- gross per month based on your experience;
  • A holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary and a year-end bonus of 8.3%;
