Are you passionate about the field of Supply Chain Management, as well as passionate about transferring your knowledge to the next generation of Supply Chain specialists?

 

The Department of Management at Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TISEM), Tilburg University, is looking for enthusiastic colleagues to reinforce teaching in the area of Supply Chain Management. Both full-time academic candidates and candidates wishing to combine their work in the field with a (part-time) academic appointment are eligible for applying.

 

Teaching in the area of Supply Chain Management concerns courses on key supply chain processes such as Purchasing, Production, and Distribution Management, both in an intra-organizational as well as an inter-organizational context. Supply Chain Management courses are being offered in TiSEM’s bachelor programs in Business Economics (in Dutch: Bedrijfseconomie) and International Business Administration, and foremost within the Master Supply Chain Management.

 

The lecturer who is appointed will primarily be involved in the courses in English and in courses in Dutch when possible. All courses are taught by teams of lecturers. Among the tasks are lecturing, teaching tutorials, assessing assignments and exams, and supervising students that write their bachelor or master thesis.

Requirements

We are in search of enthusiastic candidates with a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field. Both candidates who wish to pursue an academic career and candidates who have relevant professional experience are invited to apply. Candidates should be willing to take courses in educational skills and eventually obtain a University Teaching Qualification while on the job.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: max. 4 years.

In addition to attractive secondary employment conditions and an international working environment, we offer a 1.0 fte position, which may be split in several part-time appointments (0.2 fte or more). This is a temporary appointment for a maximum of 4 years. Starting date by agreement, but as soon as possible. The associated gross salary is maximally € 4274 per month (salary scale 10) or € 4978 per month (salary scale 11) for a fulltime appointment, conditional on training and level of experience. UFO-profiles lecturer 3 or 4 (Docent 3 or 4) apply.
