We are looking for an opportunity to initiate a new, internationally competitive line of biological research that is complementary to the research that is currently being performed in our institute. We particularly see opportunities for complementary molecular, cell biological and computational research in the areas of single-cell genomics and systems biology.
You want to contribute to the institute’s teaching at the Bachelor and Master student level, and you will take up management tasks.
You are excited to work in an international team, and you will seek collaborations with the greater community of interdisciplinary scientists at Radboud University and Radboud university medical center (Radboudumc).
You actively look for opportunities to obtain substantial external funding. Furthermore, you provide an active and stimulating contribution to the continuous improvement, internationalisation and positioning of our institut

Faculty of Science
The Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (RIMLS) is a leading interfaculty research institute of the Faculties of Science (FNWI) and of Medicine (Radboudumc). RIMLS aims to achieve a greater understanding of the molecular mechanisms of disease by integration of scientific expertise of both molecular and medical sciences.
RIMLS-FNWI offers an international research environment with various interdisciplinary topics and projects. The central research theme is the role that epigenetic processes play in the regulation of gene expression during development and differentiation in health and disease. Important tools used within the institute include Next Generation Sequencing, Mass Spectrometry, Single Cell Analysis and bioinformatics analysis. RIMLS-FNWI operates its own facilities to perform state-of-the-art research.
RIMLS-FNWI is responsible for several courses at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s level of the Biology curriculum at Radboud University, in particular also in the “Medical Epigenomics” Master’s specialization track. Both Bachelor and Master students opt for internships in the departments of RIMLS-FNWI. Moreover, the institute also contributes to the “Molecular Mechanisms of Disease” Master’s programme of the Radboudumc and also offers internships for students in this programme.
Radboud University supports employees in finding a good work?life balance. Its good accessibility, scenic surroundings and historic centre make Nijmegen a pleasant city to live and work.
