Job description

The overall aim of the project is: 1) To uncover new signal transduction mechanisms; 2) To identify and characterize novel inhibitors of these processes. We take a multidisciplinary approach including high throughput chemical screens, genetics, (bio)chemistry, cell biology, zebrafish/mouse models and mathematics/bioinformatics.

Requirements

You hold a PhD in (bio)chemistry or molecular cell biology. You have expertise in biochemistry and multiple years of experience. Experience with animal models is desirable. You are highly motivated with proven research abilities and an excellent publication record. Furthermore, you are willing and able to work both independently and also collaboratively as part of a team.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 2 years.

You will be employed on the basis of a 36-hour week. Appointment is for four years, for the duration of the project. The salary will depend on your qualifications and experience, with a maximum of € 4,361 gross per month based on a full time position (scale 10 of the Collective Labor Agreement for University Hospitals).
