The Faculty of Philosophy is looking for a lecturer for a one-year teaching replacement of 0.3 FTE. Teaching is spread over quarters 2, 3 and 4 (from mid-November to June) and involves:
- part of a second-year course on the philosophy of mind
- a third-year course on the philosophy of the life sciences, broadly construed
- another third-year course in the area epistemology, philosophy of mind, and/or philosophy of science.

Requirements

• PhD (or equivalent) in philosophy
• An excellent command of English, both in writing and speaking

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 12 months.

We offer you in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities:
- a salary depending on qualifications and work experience starting from a minimum of € 2,709 to a maximum of € 4,274 gross (salary scale 10) gross per month for a full-time position
- excluding 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus and participation in a pension scheme for employees. International candidates may qualify for a tax break on their income (the 30% facility) if the Dutch tax laws permit this in her/his case.
