Job description

In the role of robotics software engineer at SAM XL you will be working on cutting edge technology in the field of smart manufacturing. This role allows for implementing both existing research, as well as your own novel ideas into usable (ROS) software components. You will get the opportunity to work on all parts of the robot software stack and for the specific role some emphasis on Inspection using sensors and software development for mature robotic solutions.

Requirements

You Bring:

  • MSc. (or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Robotics or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of related working experience.
  • Experience with C++ and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 is a plus.
  • Willing to work on MVPs and phases toward product realization.
  • Explore and expand existing SAM XL software.
  • Understands Agile/Scrum.
  • Able to work in a team and where needed take ownership.
  • Able to communicate own work within the team and outside SAM XL

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

  • A salary based on scale 10 of the CAO for Dutch Universities with a minimum of
    € 3.226,00 and a maximum of € 5.090,- gross per month based on a fulltime contract (38 hours), plus 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
