The Job’s mission
This is a project based appointment. The researcher will be conducting research for the project ‘Leveraging the experience from two Swiss hospitals to understand the nuances of healthcare financing: A project to inform regulators, insurance companies, and hospitals.
The goal of this project is to utilize proprietary data from two Swiss hospitals to better undderstand the nuances of healthcare financing. This project aims to help practitioners and regulators to better address issues related to the financing of healthcare services.
This project is run under the auspicies of E4S and is a collaboration between IMD, the University of Lausanne, and the University Hospital Bern.
The researcher will help developing and conducting a novel and relevant research for the coming years, which may include study design, creation of research methodologies, survey development, processing and analysis of data as well as the writing of academic- and practitioner-oriented articles, reports, case studies and literature reviews. The researcher will also support the integration/transfer of research insights into IMD programs, engagement platforms and events.
Key deliverables
The anticipated outcome of the project is a model that appeals to academics (thereby being publishable in specialized journals), healthcare providers (e.g. hospitals, etc.), and practitioners, and can be utilized to address questions concerning the financing and provision
of preventive care.
The project aims to result in cases, white papers, and/or that bring the reality of healthcare financing and value-based care closer to managers and business leaders.
Ideal profile
Fixed-term contract: 1 year, with the possibility of extension pending on available funding.
