The position is based at the
Department of Medical Microbiology, you will be part of the multidisciplinary cross-departmental Radboudumc Global Health team. The research groups of Medical Microbiology (with main focus on Antibiotic Resistance, Mycology, Mycobacteriology, Malaria, Virology and Vector biology) are nationally and internationally well established. The groups provide a unique combination of expertise and resources and maintain unique facilities.
The Department of Medical Microbiology hosts the SPICE program that provides expert support to the Antimicrobial Stewardship implementation program (called Drive AMS) for effective and contextualised interventions to improve antimicrobial use. This program has already been piloted in over 20 countries in Africa, Europe, Latin America and South-East Asia, and with the increasing interest by countries and hospitals to use this support, it has a huge potential for growth and multiplier effect.
