Job description
As Sales Manager you execute and coordinate the sales activities for the Online Master Programmes of Rotterdam School of Management and the Erasmus School of Economics.

To help achieve this, we need a skilled and motivated self-starter who can execute our sales strategy to increase our market share and conversion numbers. You will be part of our Online Masters team that prepares the launch for two new Online Master programmes. As a Sales Manager, you are responsible for nurturing and converting potential participants for our Online Masters. This is done by incorporating a commercial mindset and the best practices on consultative selling, social selling and inbound sales throughout our sales funnel.

Additionally, you will work closely together with your colleagues in the Online Masters team who take care of marketing, admissions and programme management. You will report to Associate Director Online Masters.

Your daily activities and responsibilities include:
  • Nurturing leads throughout the customer journey, and removing barriers to register by understanding and using market developments and insights
  • Thinking of new tactics and initiatives to optimise conversion
  • Executing current and new tactics to increase conversion, such as information sessions and webinars
  • Generate profitable sales for the department by converting leads into registrations for Open Programmes
  • Working closely with marketing for an optimal marketing and sales funnel, by implementing tactics to deliver an excellent customer journey

Requirements

  • A Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in business, with relevant work experience
  • Approximately 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Good knowledge of the Dutch language, at least A2 level
  • Hand-on, flexible and adaptive attitude
  • Experience in or have affinity with the higher education sector
  • Flexible orientation and willingness to work outside normal business hours
  • Ability to work effectively with wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Knowledge of different CRM systems is beneficial
  • Self-starting and entrepreneurial mindset, preferably with shown experience in a start-up situation
  • Comfortable in communicating with people from a range of backgrounds, cultures and professional standing

Preferably you also have:
  • Excellent advisory skills, being able to influence customers in the decision-making process
  • The ability to collaborate with others on a common goal
  • The ability to be very well-informed regarding developments in the market and make effective use of this knowledge for the benefit of the organisation
  • Experience with Online Masters/education and a true believer of this vision of next step higher education
