Job description

In this position you will have the opportunity to investigate the formation of N-species emission control in dual fuel/methanol engines and potential post-treatment strategies to remove them. You will run experiments at laboratory scale to test those strategies

Requirements

  • You have a PhD in Chemical Engineering, and a demonstrated record or strong promise of research productivity.
  • You have experience in emissions reduction and catalytic processes.
  • You are skilled in working in a laboratory (e.g. building/modifying set-ups, running experiments and analyses).
  • You have strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • You have an excellent command of English and good communication skills.

Conditions of employment

  • You will be appointed on a fulltime position for 2 years.
  • The post-doc salary is between € 4.060,- and € 5.331,- gross per month depending on experience and qualifications.
  • The offer further involves: a holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary and a year-end bonus of 8.3%, a solid pension scheme, a minimum of 29 holidays

Department

The Sustainable Process Technology (SPT) group is part of the Faculty of Science and Technology, TNW, at University of Twente. We develop experimental and modelling research in the areas of biomass conversion, affinity separations, plastic recycling, water and CO2 capture and conversion. We combine our expertise in different disciplines (process design, chemistry, catalysis, modelling, engineering) to contribute to the development of sustainable chemical processes.
